After having participated in IT - JAM I want to describe what was new on this event and how it was? Kharkov, 11 September 2010 Radmir expohall. Jam was updated with more speakers - 29 different presentation. More place for speakers and listeners. More people, almost 1500 registered and 1200 approved comers. Less time for presentation which means that quality is better. Organization improvements, fast registration and more snacks. Free beer and cool music session at the end. I think this IT conference is huge success for Kharkov #itjam.
This video can demonstrate programmers and software developers lives and say how it is boring sometimes.
My presentation was about "Visual studio 2010 new features tips and tricks" and I was first speaker. VS 2010 new features tips & tricks.ppt (2.51 mb) Presentation was really short, a lot of questions were asked and answered. Only 30 minutes for each speaker can speed up any conference, because it help to demonstrate what you have to say much faster. But for me it is enough time because if you want to say just general information with good advices, links, tips and tricks you don't need to spend more than 15 - 20 minutes for this.

Very very funny presentation about parallel extension as first look, but very smart at second. Everybody were interested what will be next, everybody enjoy slides and photos of Yoda and other Star Wars heroes. But most funny were introduction and compare Dobkin (Kharkov governor) and IT technologies. Dmytro Maleev is present difficult subject (.NET Parallel Extensions) in easy manner.
A lot of book readers and smartphones in this conference. It guys like such features, because you can save our nature (for example trees) with electronically devices and now everything that you need in one device.
Many beautiful and pretty girls attend this conference. I don't know what they do and what they occupation, but I met two philologists who are interested in IT too. We spent good time on music session after party with them.
Guru speakers were placed in big conference room with microphones, video recording and all features. They speak about business, startups, money, companies and web technologies. New mobile smartphone from Samsung was represented in IT JAM too, it was system Bada.
IT JAM attend many IT user groups - Vinnica, Lviv, Kiev, Kharkov groups were there in one time and one place.
The most popular place was near Taken 3 and Soulcalibur 3 games on Playstaion. Very loud applause from there bring positive mood for everybody on this conference and people from different cities from all over Ukraine. Programmers, project managers and testers can play with each other and share they tricks in this awesome and old game on specially for #itjam.

Also, interesting event was Agale game in Rafael cafe organized with my colleague Timofey Yevgrashyn. Game gives you some simple business value estimation techniques that are "good enough" for everyday use. The model helps you to prioritize efficiently and consistently, by making the important value drivers explicit.

Summary: Looking back at what has been achieved by this (IT JAM 3 years in Ukraine) event was relied most interesting conference in Ukraine that I ever visit. Respect to all organization you all did everything well! Very cool to see your friends and people that you glad to see one more time. Will see you all guys next year in IT Jam 2011!
